Jami Cavinee Dellifield is proud to be the newest addition to the Hardin County Extension Staff. Jami joined the team on October 5, 2015 as the Family and Consumer Sciences Educator. Jami was born and raised in Hardin County, and graduated from Riverdale High School in 1990. Jami is a 1994 graduate of Ohio Northern University (BA, Psychology— Minor,Communications) and a 2002 graduate of the Methodist Theological School in Ohio (MA, Christian Education—Specialization, Youth Ministry). After college, Jami spent time as a Retail Manager in Nashville and Sevieville, TN with Osh Kosh B’Gosh Outlets and also in Columbus, OH with Zany Brainy. She has 17 years of experience as a Youth and Children’s Minister and 5 years of experience in Preschool Education. Jami is also a licensed ZUMBA® instructor and is licensed to teach ZUMBA®, ZUMBAkids®, AquaZUMBA®, and ZUMBAToning®. She has also been a cheerleading and tumbling coach for the last 14 years in high schools, colleges, and all-star programs. She is certified by the USASF (United States All Star Federation) in both tumbling and stunting. Jami has 2 speeds, “STOP” and “GO”. She loves to keep moving and has enjoyed completing a few marathon and half marathons. Her biggest joy is helping others start the training and complete a fitness goal like a new skill, 5K, half marathon, and a full marathon. When she is in “STOP” mode, you will find her curled up under a blanket reading a good book or taking a nap. Jami is a 4-H advisor for a local club and loves being a 4-H Camp Ohio Advisor for Hardin County. Jami celebrated 20 years of marriage to her husband, David, in December of 2015 and has two middle school students, Nora (8th grade) and Ian (7th grade).
